Description Summary: The Installer Team Member is responsible for working
with their team to provide KaTom customers with on-time and on-site
installation of products. The person in
this position works in the field, travelling to customer locations to perform
installations of restaurant equipment.
The ideal candidate for this position will be mechanically inclined (plumbing,
carpentry, etc.) and experienced with the use of power tools and equipment. This position will require 100% overnight
travel when installations are in other states.
Responsibilities includes:
- Requires hands-on-knowledge of all types of food preparation
equipment including, but not limited to ranges, freezers, refrigerators,
steamers, ovens, hot holding units, cold holding units, fryers, etc.
- Maintains effective working relationships with co-workers, vendors
and the general public.
- Licensed to drive and operate multiple sized vehicles.
- Ensures safety guidelines are followed at all times and identifies
issues outside those guidelines and reports them to management.
- Willingness to assist in other areas of the Company, on an
as-needed basis (i.e., warehouse, etc.).
- Experience working on a construction site or in a construction
environment (i.e., PPE requirements, etc.).
- Willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done.
- Proven
ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Comply
with all company policies and procedures.
- Requires
regular, predictable and punctual attendance.
- All
other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
(knowledge, skills & abilities): To perform this job successfully,
an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of
the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
- Education
and/or Experience: High School Diploma with a minimum of 2+ years of relevant
experience.
- Ability
to work overtime, as needed, without advance notice.
- Requires
a valid drivers’ license with ability to get on and stay on the Company
insurance policy for vehicles.
- Excellent
communication, time management and organization skills.
- Self-motivated
team player with the ability to work with limited supervision.
- Ability
to be flexible and adaptable to changing business needs along with
multi-tasking skills.
- Ability
to lift up to 100 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Language
Skills: Ability to read and interpret
documents such as information regarding bid specifications, product
information, etc. Proficiency in English language is required to effectively
communicate with people at all levels.
- Mathematical
Skills: Ability to add, subtract,
multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common
fractions and decimals.
- Reasoning
Ability: Ability to define problems,
collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to deal with several abstract and
concrete variables.
- Other
Qualifications: Willingness to perform
any required task within the employee’s capabilities to effectively meet the
needs of the company. Ability to get
along well with others.
