Accounting and Human Resources Assistant

POSITION SUMMARY:

 

Established concrete flooring company based out of Norris, TN has an immediate opening for an experienced Accounting and Human Resources Assistant to join our team. Under direct supervision of the Accounting Manager or designated manager, this position provides administrative and secretarial support for the Accounting and HR departments. In addition to typing, filing and scheduling, this position performs duties such as financial record keeping, payroll, coordination of meetings and conferences, obtaining supplies, coordinating direct mailings, and working on special projects. Also, answers non-routine correspondence and assembles highly confidential and sensitive information. Deals with a diverse group of important external callers and visitors as well as internal contacts at all levels of the organization. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize and organize diversified workload. Must know, practice and ensure that the company policies and procedures are followed at all times by persons under their jurisdiction.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

The duties and responsibilities include front desk/greeter duties, answering phones and assisting walk in customers as well as Accounting and Human Resources duties.  Our ideal Candidate will be outgoing, friendly and have an upbeat personality. This candidate will help with aspects of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Filing, Reconciling, Coding, P-Card transaction monitoring, etc as assigned.  Also, the candidate will be assigned Human Resources duties such as timecard and payroll preparation and reconciliation, applicant tracking and review, recruitment, time and attendance functions, policy review, job description updates, safety assistance, onboarding and orientation duties and other items as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications include but are not limited to High School diploma (or GED) with three to five years actual experience in HR and Accounting.  

Computer experience is required with high degrees of expertise in excel and word preferred.
