Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician is responsible
for the daily, monthly, and annual maintenance needs of all Kennedy Concepts
locations. This includes all restaurants, retail locations, and real estate.
The maintenance technician will minimize maintenance costs by performing
regular preventative maintenance, effectively repair all maintenance issues
independently or through a third-party vendor and will consistently communicate
with management and Kennedy Concepts leaders on the status and projected
completion of repairs and work orders.
Hourly: $23-25/hourly
Responsibilities & Duties
- Walk stores
daily to develop plan for any high priority issues
- Meet with
management at each location weekly to review punch list of completed and
ongoing maintenance needs
- Coordinate
with third-party vendors for larger maintenance repairs
- Handle
maintenance on all HVAC units, refrigeration units, plumbing, electrical,
and basic carpentry at all locations
- Travel to
hardware stores for materials
- Order parts,
materials, and other maintenance needs online or over the phone
- Coordinate
major maintenance projects with management and third-party vendors clearly
and consistently
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years maintenance technician experience with
HVAC-R and EPA Certification
- EPA Certified Technician in refrigeration and HVAC
- Must have a very strong working knowledge of commercial
refrigeration and commercial HVAC.
- Provide a depth of knowledge regarding commercial
coolers, freezers, walk-in coolers, walk-in freezers, etc.
- Familiarity with water heater, HVAC compressor,
capacitor, evaporator, fan, and thermostat replacement
- Minor plumbing skills (copper, PVC, and PEX)
- Ability to repair hot and cold restaurant equipment
- Some electrical experience is preferred
- Minor wood working, carpentry skills, and painting
skills are necessary
- Tile/Carpet installation experience is a plus
- Comfortable with diagnosing problems, researching, and
ordering replacement parts with digital technology
- Be proactive with work orders and strive to repair
everything quickly and correctly
- Commitment to following a preventative maintenance
schedule
- Proven record of excellent time and project management
skills
- Must be organized
- Must be loyal, hardworking, honest, and self-motivated
- Must be mechanically inclined
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable transportation (ex: pickup truck)
- Valid state issued driver’s license is required
