Join us as Terminal Operations Manager, overseeing daily operations including Safety, Sales, Dispatch, Maintenance, and Drivers. Manage office functions, ensure compliance with regulations, and lead in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication, leadership, and multitasking skills are essential. You'll also handle employee performance, challenging situations, and maintain confidentiality. Work closely with the Safety Manager to ensure a safe and efficient operation.

The Terminal Manager will report directly to the Director of Operations.

Responsibilities and Duties

Sole responsibility is to oversee all daily terminal operations of Safety, Sales, Dispatch, Maintenance, and Drivers.
Manage office functions that may include billing, collections, AP/AR, personnel, facility maintenance, and recruiting drivers.
Ability to work traditional office hours plus on-call responsibilities (nights and weekends).
Knowledge of OSHA/DOT/HOS and federal regulations and guidelines.
Ability to lead in a fast-paced environment and be able to multi-task.
Strong communication and logistical skills.
Ability to handle explosive situations calmly with employees and customers.
Ability to listen and understand information.
Provide guidance and direction, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance.
Ability to reward and discipline employees.
Build strong working relationships with all employees.
Maintain Confidentiality of any Company issues, communications, conflicts, and ongoing activities deemed as such.
Work cooperatively with the Safety Manager.

Qualifications

Minimum two years of experience required.
CDL Class A or B with P endorsement is a plus.
Ability to physically perform essential job functions.
Must be able to push, pull, grip, bend, squat, crouch, kneel, stoop, and walk.
Must be able to lift 20 lbs. or less occasionally.
Must have an acceptable background check and driving record.
Must be able to effectively communicate and follow oral/written instructions that are provided in English.
